obama in 30 seconds

my friends laura and peter at moveon are having a contest called

'obama in 30 seconds'. it's based on the 'bush in 30 seconds' contest we had in 2003(although this time they're looking for honest/positive ads about obama as opposed to honest/negative ads about bush).
if you'd like to enter, the url is:

www.ObamaIn30Seconds.org

if you win you get lots of attention and $20,000 and some nice equipment and a puppy.
well, maybe not the puppy. and maybe it's $20,000 in equipment. or maybe $20,000 worth
of puppies. i'm sure it'll all be made clear on the site.
i'm one of the judges along with:

Ben Affleck
Steve Buscemi
Matt Damon
Michael Franti
John Legend
Lawrence Lessig
Julia Stiles
Eddie Vedder

and a bunch of other nice people. well, i assume they're nice. but i also assumed that you get a free puppy if you win, so i basically know nothing. i do know that it's for a good cause(obama in chief).
and i do know that obama should never, ever, ever bowl in public again. luckily there's no direct correlation between bowling skills and chief executive skills(i mean 37 points? oof). oh, and thanks for coming to the union sq megastore today. and see you thursday at hiro. and i hope that you enter the contest and win prizes and a puppy. what kind of puppy? one of those invisible, mime puppies, most likely. and i wonder why i don't get taken seriously.

Musical in 30 Seconds

Hey Moby! A group of us in Prague, Czech Republic came together to make this submission to the contest - we figured that memorable+positive=musical (or puppies, but we didn't have any. Hopefully, that will change ;-) Thanks for giving your time to helping make the contest work - we hope that it'll help remind everyone that our voices count as much as our votes.

Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2ey7nr8xt0

Neither straight or gay or does that mean both?

Hi Moby
I can relate to your position on same sex stuff. I was a lead in the US National Tour of Cats, and on Broadway, produced hip hop in Harlem for 2 years, and for CBS records. I spent 18 months in the gay community. I decided I'd rather stay celibate. My story is here www.GayTestimony.com. Like you, I totally think Christ is devine.

Oh Moby...

Heed my warnings about Obama and CFR !

You know, my previous comments, which included links and never showed up on your blog...

Google 'stranger than fiction zionism' and READ, inform yourselves!

Radical Zionists are much more dangerous than radical Islamists. We need people with strong voices to act responsibly as soon as possible !
Peace!

Disco Lies

Moby, your new album is a marvel. Truly. I am thrilled you fully embraced this new, nightclub sound. Reminds me of the best of the 1990s. Disco Lies is completely, wholly my favorite track on the album. It is brilliant and cutting-edge.

Move In Here is also pretty mind-blowing...and this is coming from a relatively new fan (I caught on during your Hotel phase). Keep up the good work and come down to TEXAS! AUSTIN! PLAY IN A CLUB THAT ALLOWS UNDER 21 GUESTS!

Anyways, way to go, the new album is my personal favorite of yours.

I'm glad that you've given moby some fabulous advice, but you must give moby props for going out and trying something new. Personally, I love the album. The only song I'm not a die hard fan of is Everyday it's 1989 because it's got the girl sort of yelling in a high-pitched voice (a classic moby trademark). Nonetheless, I'm superstoked that it's not the same thing as 18. If it was, I'd be disappointed (partially because I don't like 18 as much as Hotel or Play). But anyways, I'm not going to tell moby how to make music and I don't think you should either ty. just appreciate it for how beautiful it truly is, in all its forms.

Thats nice and all..

.. but ive just downloaded your new album (with high expectations) but sadly i most say i was very disappointed. only track 13 was kinda nice all tho I would have liked it better if had built up tempo to a "finale" instead of just keeping the same pace all along, it gets a little boring. sorry!
Moby!!
please make your next album (hopefully soon) more "easy listening". Im a big of 18 with the fatastic gospel and great symphony...!
i can even tolerate you singing on top if the music is crispy -soft but still with some tempo and a little catchy!-- dont be afraid to make em catchy and even overly emotional..ty

The End

shock and awe

i find it amazing that we all know he bowled a 37! it's been on every news program. one reporter even made the comment that he should 'stick to basketball'.

hopefully the media will remember his eloquent speech on race relations as well as the bowling score ;)

disco lies

I think "disco lies" is a killer track but I can't seem to find it on a vinyl 12" release.Being a vinyl lover I am very dissapointed in this.It shouldn't even be remixed : an extended version would be very nice !!!!

Lots of Moby releases are being stamped on vinyl so why not this one ????
